My name (as you may have guessed by now) is Lucas Quinteros, and I’m a recent alumnus of Northern Michigan University. Earning my BFA in Graphic Design, I quickly fell in love with the way image and type can coexist and fall in love (or perhaps form a love-hate relationship).  Brutalism and Romanticism: so much is possible within the curious union of type and image. 

What happens then is a 20-something design student with an insatiable appetite for style and a growing curiosity.

Working with anything I can get my hands on, I take pride in wanting to explore the vast ambiguity of “the graphic designer” and his product. Working with as many programs as possible (the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Brackets, Blender, Cinema4D), I have great fun finding the many ways I can design. 

A personal love is the marriage of music, type, and image, I find myself being inspired by the melodies and lyrics I listen to. I often visualize how the type would look in my mind’s eye, how it would react to the music, the meanings, and the tone. Sheepishly choosing my favorite child, lyric videos are my first love. 

My skills range throughout the spectrum of design, however. I have built several websites using various methods, including the one you’re reading my little paragraph on.
